Centuries later, coffee houses became venues for trade, Thomas Gresham built the Royal Exchange, and the City became a piggy bank for the Kings and Queens who needed funds to go to war. From the Victorian banking boom to the great skyscrapers of today – Join Teruyo Joshima to find out how the City of London became renowned as one of the world’s top financial centres.
