A Christmas Carol – the locations that inspired Dickens

A Christmas Carol is Charles Dickens’ short but salutary tale of selfishness, greed and redemption. It  recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley along with the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. Much of the story is set within the City of London and this walk takes you to those locations, some of which haven’t changed since Dickens himself walked the City streets. Join us to hear this ghostly tale and the reasons why Dickens was moved to write it.

Read the book, been on the walk, then why not see A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic this year?
