Sculpture in the City is the annual urban sculpture display, set in the eastern corner of the City, the insurance district. Now in its 13th year, the latest selection of artworks has been installed, to intrigue, delight or perplex passers-by.

For the last three years, Six in the City member Courtney has been part of the team delivering guided walks for September’s London Sculpture Week.  This year’s trail includes Maya Rose Edwards’s Kissing Gate (an interactive installation) as well as the dazzling Temple by Richard Mackness. A small number of popular pieces have been held over from last year, and two others are now permanent from earlier exhibitions.

Open air urban art displays not only give more space to enjoy the art and provide an exciting backdrop, but they can also make you look anew at the surroundings themselves.

If you did not manage to bag one of the tickets for the Sculpture Week walks, the trail for the 2024 collection is now offered as a Six in the City walk. The first one is on

23 October at 11.00. If that date does not suit, please do contact us via info@sixinthecity.co.uk as other dates can be arranged.
